Computer Science and Engineering

The Information Technology revolution has reached a billion people of the world. In the next 5 years, it will reach the next billion. The importance of Computer Science & Engineering in the recent scenario is astronomical. The Department of Computer Science has been recognized as one of the core competence centre  for excellence in academia as well as research. Computer Science is an interdisciplinary field that is working in co-ordination with various other disciplines. Most of the professionals working in Leading MNC’S hail from Computers Science field.

The department has introduced M.Tech (2Yrs) and M.Tech (5Yrs).  So, far we have more than 400 students with us. We have five Computer Laboratories equipped with the latest softwares and internet facility is available in all the laboratories. Wireless Communication Laboratory has been set up with the latest equipment. The latest research areas include Digital Image Processing, Mobile Computing, Networking etc. to name a few. The emphasis is laid on individual student to perform in this world of competition.

Eligibility:

M. Tech Computer Science & Engineering (5-year): Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 with Physics Chemistry and Mathematics from recognized board/Council.(45% Marks for SC/ST)

M. Tech Computer Science & Engineering (2-Year): B.E./ B.Tech in any branch with at least 50% marks in aggregate/ equivalent Grade point or / MCA/ M.Sc (Physics, Applied Physics, Space Physics, Mathematics, Statistics with 50% marks. (45% Marks for SC/ST)

M.C.A. (3-Year):  BCA/BBA OR Graduate in any stream with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Application (IT}/ Computer Maintenance/ Quantitative Techniques as one of the elective subjects with 50% marks in aggregate OR any equivalent degree thereof.
