 The course of M.Sc. (Physics), which is a master’s degree course, is a full time course of two years. There are huge job opportunities M.Sc. degree holders in Physics. A large proportion of degree holders entering permanent jobs go into research, design and development besides teaching. A degree in Physics gives one an excellent grounding in many areas. There are various Research Centres in India and abroad where M.Sc. degree holders in Physics are required for detailed research in various fields of physics. M.Sc. degree holders are also recruited in defence services. One can also join the research projects in defence in DRDO (Defence Research Development Organization) after their recruitment in DRDO.One can go for research in various fields like Nuclear physics, High energy physics, Solid state physics and further specialised areas like Nanotechnology, Meteorology, Electronics, Telecommunications and Aeronautics.

 M. Sc. Physics:  B. Sc. with Physics and Mathematics with at least 50% marks in aggregate from recognized board/Council.(45% Marks for SC/ST)
